Happy Thanksgiving and beyond!

This is the time of year when many of us reflect on our blessings. I lost a mother in law in July 2010 and my beloved Dad in August 2010. My dad had suffered with the after effects of cancer treatment for 7 years. I will miss him forever... and ever. I am happy though, that he is now at peace and taking time for himself. He endured beyond what anyone should.

My mom, sister and I are now closer than we have ever been. This is one of those gifts from the sad loss of Dad. We have always loved one another, but now there is more of a closeness, and time of reflecting for all of us. We have had our parents over 50 years and they had each other for over 60 years. Wow! Gifts of love and relationships at its finest.

It is Thanksgiving soon. I do hope for all that are on this earth, whether it is blood family or acquired family or friends, wishing and hoping for a place for all to feel togetherness.

Take care... Sandy

Fall is here...

Good day everyone,

I have been away for a time. My husband's mom passed away in July and my dad passed away in August. Things have been busy and sad of course.

I hope all is good with you out there. I am enjoying the fall. It is relaxing to have less chores to do. I love spending time outside in spring, summer and early fall, but enjoy this time when the yard work is not on my to do list.

What are all of you doing this fall?

Ingore the News...

Sounds bold, ignore the news. My husband and I were just watching it and the oil slick problem arose. I suggest, all of us to affirm what we want in this world, clean oceans, healthy forests, etc. Focus on what we desire, not on what we are afraid of, worry about, etc. Miracles happen everyday. The energy we put out multiplies, so I am now and in the future, going to put out positive energy, let the higher power take on the big problems, and focus on a warm and fuzzy world. If you also join this thinking all of it will multiply. It starts with one person, it spreads and the good spreads.

Thank you for listening.... Power to the positive universe!

Life is Lovely!

I have been practicing the "Law of Attraction" lately, and I must say, life does improve. I have read a number of authors on the subject. Favorite is: Robert Anthony. I also love the book called, Write it down, make it happen. I bought 3 copies and keep one and loan out the other 2. It is a really good book on writing down what you would like and making it happen. She tells stories of real people who have done this and what they wrote came true. At the end of each chapter, she then says, it is your turn. She has exercises to do in writing. It is a very interesting and USEFUL book. If you don't want to buy it, your library probably has it.

Have a wonderful day..... !

Those blessings disquised!

Hi!
How are all of you today! Hope all is good with you.

Tonight we pulled out our fridge to find out the model number of the filter for the water and ice. It was dusty back there, so we cleaned up. My husband noticed a small leak out of the pipe in the wall that went into the fridge. The leak started spraying, he had to turn off the water at the street. He was p.o.ed! He is at the store getting a blocking plug.

I continued to clean and realized the blessing here. He will too... If we had not decided to pull out the fridge, get the number off the filter we would not have known of that small leak. The wall is soggy around the pipe in the wall. It has been leaking a bit for awhile. We now can get it fixed without coming home from work with a flood in the kitchen. I am grateful for the find. It is a pain in the behind, but it could have been so much worse! Blessings come in unusual ways sometimes.

All will be fine. Find a ray of sunshine in unusual places.... :-)

Happy Tuesday!

More Law of Attraction...

Good day!

It is a lovey day too. "The Law of Attraction" in simple terms, it is like attracting like. So if I am in a glum mood I will attract similar things to myself. If I am in a happy mood I will attract good things. What we put out, comes back to us multiplied, so you can bet I am doing my best to be putting out positive energy.

I made some little cards around the size of a business card. They have a pretty picture of flowers or other things on them that make me smile and they say, "I choose to feel good now." This was taken from an audio book by Robert Anthony. I have them in various places in the house, in my car, at work and so on. Taking time out throughout the day to check in, get into the moment and read the card, then think of things that make me feel happy, or I think of things I am grateful for. This a good way to keep positive vibrations coming out of me and into the universe. I would challenge everyone to do a 30 day test. Monitor what you think about during the day. When worry, fear, anger, jealousy or any other negative feeling pops up, say, I am feeling negative emotions right now, I think I will stop and think of something that makes me feel good. You cannot hold a negative and positive feeling at the same time. So pick the positive one. Do this for a month and see if your life starts having little miracles happen.

Have a marvelous day!

The Law of Attraction

Have you heard of the "Law of Attraction"? It is a Law that works in all of our lives at every moment. We can use it to our favor, or we can do the opposite. I first learned of it about 25 years ago. I was working on increasing my knowledge of it then. I got married, had a lovely step son and kind of forgot about it. I am now, re-learning it. It is awesome and worth investigating. "Thoughts become things."

There are some very good books written on this subject. I believe it is worth researching if you have not heard of it, or would like to learn more.

I will now be writing on this subject in my blog. I have neglected this blog for the most part because I felt I did not have anything very important to talk about. This IS IMPORTANT and one of the most useful things you can learn for yourself. Start with books written by Dr. Robert Anthony. I love the book, Beyond Positive Thinking.

Have a lovely day! More to come soon....
